Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

2. What Data We Collect
When you submit the waitlist form on flightcockpit.app, we collect:
- Your email address.
- Your plan interest (“Pilot” or “Not sure yet”).
- How you arrived at the page (UTM source or HTTP referrer), if available.
- Your browser locale (e.g.
de-DE,en-US). - Your IP address and browser user-agent string, recorded only as proof-of-consent for this privacy policy.
- The hash and label of the privacy policy version you accepted.
With your consent, given via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, we use Google Analytics 4 to record page views and the marketing-funnel events described in Section 8. Google Analytics only sets a cookie and receives data after you click Accept; if you click Reject or do not respond, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.
3. Purposes & Legal Basis
We process your data to (a) send you a single welcome confirmation on signup and a single launch-notification email when FlightCockpit ships, (b) measure aggregate waitlist health and pricing-interest, (c) provide proof of your privacy-policy consent, and (d) measure site traffic and marketing-funnel performance via Google Analytics 4 (see Section 8). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) for all of the above, including Google Analytics 4.
4. Recipients
- Supabase (database hosting,
eu-central-1, Frankfurt). Data processing agreement in place. - Resend (transactional email delivery, USA). Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
- Vercel (web hosting, Germany / global edge). Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
- Google Ireland Limited(Google Analytics 4, web analytics, Ireland / USA). Standard Contractual Clauses apply. Only engaged after you accept the cookie banner — see Section 8.
5. Retention
We retain your waitlist record until 24 months after FlightCockpit launches, or until you revoke consent — whichever comes first. After that, the record is deleted.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to (a) access your data, (b) request correction or deletion, (c) restrict or object to processing, (d) data portability, and (e) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Exercise any of these by emailing hello@flightcockpit.app.
7. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Email us and we'll remove your record within 30 days.
8. Google Analytics 4
flightcockpit.app uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service, subject to the consent described in Section 2.
- Processor: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- Data categories: page views, session duration, device/browser type, approximate location (city-level, derived from an anonymised IP address), referrer/UTM source, and the custom events
download_desktop_clickandcheckout_started. - IP anonymizationis active — Google truncates your IP address before any storage or processing.
- Retention: 14 months, after which Google automatically deletes the data.
- Withdrawal: click Cookie Settings in the footer at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops new data collection immediately; it does not delete data already sent to Google.
